The way same day couriers price jobs is this - you choose a vehicle size, figure out the milage and hey presto you multiply the vehicles milage rate by the distance travelled and boom, there you have it - your price. But what these companies don't want you to know is that they will often sell the job onto the lowest bidder and maximise their own profits. Often the driver, who has paid for his van, his fuel, his insurances, his breakdown cover, his legal cover, his phone, his lunch as well as done the 8 hours driving up to Thurso will often get less than half what you the customer are being charged!
